Heads-up Display

There is a KickStarter project for full face helmets using heads-up display.

All very trick, but I'd rather have audio giving me info that is required, speed, flasher left on, directions etc. Helmet is too crowded and lacking vision as it is...

watching the product as it develops. Looks At this time that its going to way to small to provide all that detail in the preview.

I like it. And it's long overdue, given the fact that the technology has been around for a long time in other applications such as military. But final cost is everything.

Skully Helmets
Here's another one...... my initial reaction is, distraction factor. They're catering to the ipad app hungry kind of mentality. Keep it simple, please, and keep the display small, not in my face.

And all you guys don't complain about cell talking, texting, GPS playin', blind to bike cagers at all do you?

Enjoy, just hope they tone it down a tad. I can see benefits. A few years ago there used to be a little HUD that went on the top of your helmet and displayed only basic speed, gear, time... in the top corner of your shield. It's probably long gone.

I too think it will just add to the distractions that already exist--road conditions and debris, other drivers, signage and controlled intersections, speed, etc. It's tough enough keeping track of everything all the time without adding more to the mix. If I was flying at 45,000 feet and didn't have another plane 3-4 feet off my wingtip, that's one thing. On a motorcycle, no thanks.
