damaged exhaust

I managed to dent my front exhaust pipe right under the engine. It's no where near pinched off, just dented, or more like flattened out a little.

How big a deal is this?

I can't find any dealers that have them on hand so I must be the only one to do this or the first to confess to it anyway.

Thanks,
Bob

I don't think its a performance issue if its not hindering flow, just cosmetic. Ride the rest of the year, put a SW-Motech skid plate as a priority option and look for a parting out DL on ebay for your winter project.
You can get automatic emails from ebay if one is posted, which may help if your eager or don't have time to do the research.

I would not worry about a minor dent. I have a dent in my current exhaust where the bolt on the Amotostuff skid plat smacked into the exhaust, and I am not worried. In the past I have had other exhaust systems fairly well bent by accidents with trees that did did not hinder the bike, or snowmobile as the case maybe.
