Free TraX side cases

I'm picking up my 2013 650 on Saturday. My dealer just sent an email saying Suzuki is running a special on the Adventure side cases the total cost is the labor cost for installation. They quoted me $84.00. I don't like the mounts because they stick out too far, but $84 seems too good of a deal to pass up. Has anyone modified the mounting to tighten it up, or adapted different narrower mounts?

I'd probably do it with the intention of using it for now and getting what you really want later. You can probably sell it for more than the price you are paying for it.

The mounts are pretty wide, but I really like the OEM / TraX boxes. I don't know which mounts would be narrower. I wish my dealer had only charged me $84 for the install.

Does anyone know for sure, if the "free bags", that Suzuki is offering with the promotion, are the Adventure model bags, or the plastic ones?

They are the adventure ones.

I just picked mine up and I'm installing them on my DL650A. I've already got a Givi Trakker top case so I need longer bolts to make the Trax box install work since it requires the Suzuki top case rack be mounted to support the side bags. Bolts should be in Friday as I had to order them from

I'd kinda unbelievable that the width of the Glee with bags is 44 inches. Who makes those racks?

The Happy Trail racks + 11" wide bags I bought come up to 40.5", and my bags are huge!

I took the bag deal and it's been over a month since I received my bike. Going to gently nudge the Dealer again today. I ordered the Touratech racks for my zega bags that I've had for years I just couldn't figure out how to move the stickers from one bag to the other. The new bags look great I'm just sentimentally attached to the old. The new bags should be arriving any day now I was told they were shipped from Suzuki A week and a half ago. They didn't offer me a cash discount which I would've jumped at but now I have a brand-new set of bags for sale if anyone is interested. I also have an MRA windscreen very similar to the adventure windscreen and made by the same company. I wish I could post the picture but the administrators of this list don't allow it until you have posted so many posts, I wish they wouldn't do that. I rode about 300 miles with that windshield and bought The madstadt mount and screen. The madstadt is a little bit better but the Mca is way better than the stock screen, The adjustable lip is very nice, I wish the Madstadt had that lip. I would love to sell them as a package deal. The windscreen looks brand-new and has absolutely no scratches

In search of the next Starbucks
