AIMEXPO anyone?

Hit the aimexpo in orlando FL today....after 10 years of the typical bike week crapola, it was so great to swing into the cycle parking lot of the convention center and see that harleys made up only 10% of the thousands of bikes there.....every kind of make and year of adventure, sport, sport touring etc...the expo was very good also, sat on a '14 VEE....really like it, they totally reshaped the seat and basically everything else...surrounded by a crowd all day....tons of other stuff from all over the world on display with the factory guys right there...Italy was well represented, they make not only functional stuff but beautiful to the eye somehow....yamaha and suzuki had all their bikes there to test ride, along with 4 wheelers and this thing that goes from a 4 wheeler to a jet ski...not kidding.....all in all a good time, hopefully it will become a yearly event....walking from the shuttle to my bike across the lot I passed at least a dozen stroms....when does that ever happen?

Sounds good, and being its first year should only get better and better if the industry gets behind it.

Certainly a bit warmer than Indianapolis

Thanks for the feedback on the new Strom 1000, can't wait to see one in Sydney in a month at the Sydney Motorcycle Expo.

New 1000 may be on the cards

Oh yeah, I was definitely there & enjoyed every second of it even though my bad leg was complaining every step of the way. Tons of info to be had, & something interesting to look at in any direction you cared to look.

Going today to the Orlando event.

Was at BikeToberFest Friday. Only saw one V-Strom. 90% HD and cruisers. Still fun for anyone who likes bikes

HI,
I was there for two days interspaced with test rides in Daytona Beach for biketoberfest. Lots of chinese scooters representented. Talked with Lee Parks about training and gloves... niece guy.. Saw the 2014 Vee and the beak (schnable) is not that bad in person.. The new Vee is alot smaller up close, just a smidge bigger than the 650 wee.. The Tech people from Suzuki Atlanta don't know any more than we do. Everything they talked about was the same stuff on line. They don't know the alternator output but they same "it's about the same" as the 2013.. Price is "gonna be a bit more than the current one" . The other thing I gleened from the corperate guys were they did not aim at the KTM V twin, they aimed at the Ducati MultiStrada. and if you look at it compaired to the Multistrada it is a darn good copy!! So they arn't looking for a dirt bike, they are looking for a street bike that can go on a fire road. I think they knocked it out of the park with this one. They have a "Adventure" modle with bags, bash plate "knuckle gards" and touring wind screen, black of course..
It's worth one day and that's about it.. Orlando traffic sucked as uasual.

Orlando Traffic is so fun (Not!)

Spent Sunday at event and got some deals from CruzTools, samples from CMF-30 corrosion, Air driver blower.

And at the Suzuki booth saw the new ADV STROM and got coupons for free oil filter and oil from Suzuki dealers. Also 50 year Suzuki coin to all that sign up for drawing. Metal Suzuki OEM part sign, Side Stand rest, ... (I Expect junk mail)

The outside area requires a bus ride or a mile + walk from the event. Suzuki had a ADV 650 DL650 for demo rides no 1000 ADV. Lines were short for demo rides on Sunday. ATVs, Suzuki, Yamaha not sure who else offered free demo rides.

Will go again next year
