Holy Butchered Strom, Batman!

Just saw this on the local craigslist. Looks like we lost another strom, in one of my favorite colors, of course...

Moderator's edit: CL ads are against forum rules. I'll just post the pic.

Sad to see an orange strom butchered, however, I must give the builder credit for creativity using existing parts in the cockpit, including the instrument cluster.

I'm guessing it was a 650, based on the single exhaust. Definitely a poor man's T-rex. This is one of those concepts that look great on paper, but when you see one actually being driven, seem to embody all the worst driving qualities of both cars and bikes combined.

I actually think it's kinda cool, and think it's interesting how most of the bike is still together underneath the rear bodywork.

If I see things right, he used one of the handlebar grips on the handbrake lever. How much of the controls were reused is funny, too, the shifter arm, the handlebar controls in the center of the dash, the v-strom gauges, the grip on the handbrake... I think the builder is part American Indian, use as much of the original animal as possible.

Again, don't post CL links. You can use PM due to a request from bassbronco_74

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Not to nitpick, but the only place craigslist is mentioned in the site rules is in the Classifieds forum, which would imply that craigslist links are prohibited in the classifieds, but not in the rest of the forum. Considering this one was posted to make fun of, I don't see the problem. Just saying, if posts get modified because of rules, the rules need to be clearer.

I looked at some videos of these on Youtube. I'm not 100 percent sure, but I don't think they have a reverse gear of any sort on them, not even an electric motor. Might make it somewhat difficult if you found you had to back up. I guess you have to jump out and push it backwards....
