120K miles on a strom and going strong...

dont want to break any rules or anything but this was a CL post i just saw and just REALLY liked the idea of my engine going strong for another 100,000 miles!

I'm not posting anything for sale..not my bike or anyone i know....this is a post to show how GREAT these bikes are...

from Cincinnati CL and the pic looks great. I bet its a sTromtrooper!

"2007 Suzuki V-Strom 650 very good shape, clear title has 120,000 miles has had all regular service that it needs very dependable bike. call or text anytime night or day 937-317-1171 or email"

How dare you post about a 120k mile Wee while I'm trying to justify selling my '09 Wee when the new V-Strom comes out. This is so not right. I say all posts about high mileage Stroms are to be restricted until middle of next year.

My dear Angry Harvey ticked over 60,000 today. He has chudder and TPS problems, but he's never left me stranded and other than the TPS stalling issue, nothing about him has EVER broken. Every problem he's had has been MY fault (or the previous owner... hey, let's install the heated grip relay RIGHT NEXT TO THE FRAME SO IT BLOWS THE IGNITION FUSE!!!!). Love this bike.

"Definitely do not sit on a DL1000. Big mistake. You'll end up buying one. Happened to me. True story."

"Purchasing a V-Strom from a Harley dealer does have poetic justice. Almost like removing a talented child from a meth house."

"I'm for moves that will help people get over the idea that it is ever okay to drink and drive."

Start telling the spouse about disturbing rumors of frame cracking at X miles

X being equal to your bike minus 5000

That and the high cost of routine muffler bearing replacement
