Price / deal check on used 2012 adv

I've been shopping pretty seriously for a v-strom for the past couple of weeks, and I think I've just found the deal that might make me pull the trigger. Wanted to get opinions.

This is a 2012 adventure model, used with ~2,000 miles. Just came into the local dealer yesterday.

It has the following add-ons:
  1. SW motech (I think) skid plate
  2. Center stand, not sure about brand
  3. Hand guards

Which is basically the exact 3 accessories that I feel are a necessity for me. Probably around a 500 dollar value?

Out the door price is $7,637.00. This includes all taxes, dealer prep fees, doc fees.

They have to wait until the morning to run my credit with the bank he wants to use but he said my credit score came back excellent and I should expect 4.79% on a 4 year loan. There are no early payoff fees, but there is an "origination fee" of $190. Apparently this is common. Is that true? I will probably call my bank and see if they can beat it.

What do you guys think? Is this too good to pass up???

Asked about the history on the bike. It was purchased at that dealership and then traded after 9 months or so. Nothing bad in the history of the bike (no drops) and the condition (from what I could tell) is near mint. It just hasn't been detailed yet.

I put a $100 refundable deposit on it to hold it until early next week while I shop for insurance deals...

Quit postponing the Fun!

Exact, everybody always wants to know they got the best deal possible, but I guarantee there is always a better deal somewhere else. Quit worrying about it. All that really matters is if you think it's a good deal. This is a situation where you buy it and never look at prices again. Just like buying computers, the day after you buy one, a newer, bigger, quicker, cheaper one is released. In this case, I can promise you will not have buyers remorse. Go for it, tommorrow's Friday. Skip work tomorrow and you may skip work on Monday too!

Enjoy the ride.

I really think i might go for it. Paid off a 6 year car loan 2 months ago. Was 335/mo. So 140/mo for a bike seems like nothing! It's such a beautiful bike

YOLO

Three weeks ago, took a long weekend and rode Denver to Omaha to my son's place, took the long way there 680 miles in two days. Rode the short way home on Sunday, 580 miles, mostly two lane highways and went to work the next morning. Great visit and a great ride. Even got pulled over in Washington county, cruising at 85 and just got a warning.

Last week spent six days in the Rockies, I-70 up, two lane highways and dirt and gravel roads all over the place. Had a great time despite the rains. Bike never missed a beat no matter what or where I rode.

Before I bought my bike, I spent hours looking at prices and bikes. Finally bought it when my wife told me, "For crying out loud, will you just buy the thing?!"

For crying out loud, will you just buy the thing?!

Which dealer in NE Oh? Just curious.

As that annoying kid says on the Kia of Mentor commercials.... "So Just buy it"

I'm in the Firelands area. After you get the bike, lets go for a ride....

State 8. Frankly I've heard mixed things but I have been happy with them so far. A lot more willing to negotiate than the other place I was looking at.

Firelands, I'm not too familiar.... Is that just up by Lake Erie? What county?

Vermilion . (Erie / Lorain counties)

A friend of mine bought a new 2013 650 strom from them in April and got a very good price. They matched the price quoted by powersports 360 in Huron where I bought my Vee.

state 8 service dept has had mixed reviews from NE Ohio guys over on the Adv board. I've never dealt with them.

Gotta ask then.... Where do you go for service? They definitely seem competitive but it seems they can afford to be, they're probably one of the biggest mc dealers around here. I'm not complaining

I'd be happy to go for a ride one night after work or something, I work downtown. Never explored up there and I'm getting bored of the roads in my town
