% of DL1000's as to DL650's

I am curious since Suzuki apparently will not be doing a DL1000??? after the upcoming year what the % breakdown is here of 650 to 1000 ownership.

This is not intended to spark why you bought the cc version you did but really wanting to see the ratio.

Do not need anything more.

Will report back after Daughter and self toodle from here to Saskatachewen in two weeks.

A biker without full-face protection should only ride as fast as the slowest hornet.

Garage
I'm thinking 70-30 but wouldn't be surprised at a 10 percent swing in either direction. I'll just ride my 1k until it poops out then I'll start motorcycle shopping again.

I suspect that this poll will show a higher proportion of 1000's than is actually the case because it is largely US based.
I understand that worldwide the 650 outsells the 1000 by some considerable margin but in the USA the numbers are more even.

Suzuki may still do a 1000 for 2008... the news of it's demise are greatly exaggerated.

Well I am real curious as to the numbers. I think it would be wrong to do away with the DL1000 but I wonder if Suzuki is looking at sales comparisons of the two to decide this?

That is the reason for the poll.

As I understand it the DL1000 motor does not meet new European pollution requirements so Suzuki's options will be stop selling the current motor in Europe, stop selling any bike with that motor world wide or introduce a new motor to replace the existing one which in Japanese terms means introduce a complete new bike.
I'm picking option 3 although I would not be so game as to assume it will be a 1000cc direct replacement for the current bike..

If they were selling enough of them, they'd find a way to make them comply.

Out of the 83 bikes I counted in the main parking lot at Reno Friday night (I understand there was another parking location that some used), 49 were 1K's. Surprised me, maybe it's because they have been out for a while longer.
