Is this the way it is

Looking back this is the 30 Strom in the last year.

To which Greywolf replied:
In my experience, you don't have the expertise you claim. I have to protect the membership from from information that just isn't true. Do not argue with me by PM or I will ban you. Keep the exchange public and cite your sources.

If you want it public then so be it. Don't hold it against me. First off what is your experience that you can judge me. Second, find one time I claimed to be an expert. I specifically stated I was not an expert. But, those that I go to, have learned from and consider friends are. The information that you say is untrue is your opinion, not facts. What specific training or skill allows you to make such a statement? If you disagree with something I have said I could understand a debate and would welcome one. When my sources are those professionals that are considered the leaders in the industry what makes you the sole arbiter of what's the facts are? Source 1: Lee Parks. Have you read chapters 3 and 15 from his book Total Control higherformance street riding techniques? Have you read the motorcycle suspension bible co written by Paul Thede and Lee Parks. Paul Thede doesn't work for RaceTech, he founded it. There are few with more knowledge and expertise. The book he wrote with Lee is considered the standard in the industry. Matt Wiley with RaceTech is is one of the leaders in the industry when it comes to design and suspension Modifications. Max McAllister, founder of Traxxion Dynamics. These are just some of my sources.

I have not said you were wrong, just incomplete with your assessments. Think what you will, but your postings on the subject show a lack of depth of total knowledge of the subject shared by the leaders of the industry. I would not be so presumptuous as to challenge someone with 30 + years in the industry. I am not talking about myself. I have worked with Lee and Matt on a professional level for the last 7+ years. I have found truth in the statement that if you want to deliver the best product to the consumer, learn from the best.

If you want to challenge my abilities, knowledge and experience I welcome it. To threaten to ban me because of my 2 attempts to keep this from becoming personal is not an adult concept I, or most would consider appropriate. I had to apologize on another forum for stating some on the list were idiots. Unfortunately, my understanding of the English language where the term idiot originally meant without formal training, was seen as condescending. In a private conversation with the moderator we gained a mutual respect for each other.

My intention as I told you was not to argue. I have been misquoted and personally attacked. My response has always been as a professional. We can agree to disagree but unless you have better sources than the leaders in this industry I would appreciate at least a bit of respect.

Remember, you were the one that told me to make this public.

Tact would dictate that a PM (Private Message) remain exactly that, private. What's the point of posting this?

The opinions expressed in this forum are those of the poster and may not necessarily be the same as the reader - that's why it's called an opinion.

Gdenoyer , you have chosen poorly. Right or wrong , dragging a moderator through the street (so to speak) to make your point earns you very little respect from anyone , and in the end , makes you look like a jerk. You might not be , but this ain't helping your cause. This isn't coming from one of Greywolf's buddies , but being a moderator on another site , I understand the work that goes along with the cause. Bad Karma.......

Did nobody catch the fact that it was not my choice to post it. Greywolf told me to. I was following his direction. It was not my first attempt to avoid this. Again, before someone chastise me ask why HE wanted me to make this public.

Very bad karma. There may be some good info in your postings, but I'll never know. Your way of presenting info in such a name dropping, pedantic manner has quickly become, for me, so distasteful that I can't wade through it. Posting the contents of a private message between you and another person is just the icing on the cake for me; a tactless move that shows a real lack of discretion.

This is about the most civilized forum I've ever been a part of. The fact that you've already been forced to apologize on another forum for this same sort of thing says a lot about how you conduct yourself.

And please don't bother starting an endless dialog with me about what you think someone said as opposed to what someone actually said, because I wont be able to read it. You're the first person I've ever added to my ignore list in the whole time I've been on this site, and believe me, with some of the people on this site, that says a LOT.

"No matter where you go, there you are."

I told him to keep the discussion public. Not to post a PM. That's the last straw.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.

Yeah sure he did, and I am sure he meant for you to do it EXACTLY like you just did. You are being very immature, and over what......your feelings and ego got hurt?

I'm not absolutely sure he didn't misunderstand, but the levels his misunderstandings reached in his posts got to the level where people following his suggestions would have lost money and time and may even gotten dangerous. I figure he was either a good troll, a bad influence, or Sitting Duck found a way back..
