The perfect wheelie

OMG!

I love to wheelie my Vee and have been practicing the fine art.

Yesterday all my hard work paid off.

1st gear, accelerate just a smidge, then crank the throttle and up goes the front wheel a couple of feet off the pavement. Just as the bike rises up to the apex, I snick the shifter into 2nd.

I watch as the bike gently lowers her wheel to the ground, gently kissing the pavement.

Really, it was just sheer poetry.

Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself, and glad to see you posting on the board. (You've been uncharacteristically quiet as of late)

Where is the video?

+1. If it's not on Youtube, it didn't happen.

At my age I expect I'd be lucky to film it on Super 8.

Remember Super 8?

The youngsters here probably don't.

Y'know, a woman wheelieing a Vee at the tender age of 61 is a pretty good reflection of my hooligan-type character. You youngsters pay attention and learn...

If a rider pops a wheelie and no one is there to see it did it really happen?

NO pictures, please.

Any pilot worth his salt knows you take pictures AFTER the mission, not before. (Remember Oswald Boelcke, Manfred von Richthofen, usw.)

And I'm old enough to recall the transition TO 'Super 8'. ;-)

Stay safe, Janice. Happy landings.
