Tail light replacement

Is there an easy way to get at and change the tail light bulbs? The pictures from the Vstrom basic manual make it look like some significant disassembly.

thanks!

I just removed the seat, emptied out the tools & used some long nose pliers to twist the bulb holders (1/4 turn to the left). Would have done it by hand but the rubber washer on the bulb holder seemed to have stuck to the back of the light housing, so the pliers gave more leverage. Replaced my bulbs with Led's

I can get my XXL/size 11 hand in there without too much trouble.
