A few years ago wife and I watched the tall ships sail into the LA harbor from a hill in San Pedro. When they disappeared behind the head land we zoomed down to the channel and then saw them sail up the harbor. Really cool.
Since the tall ship parade moves around the world Lots of ports get to host them. I spoke to a feller once that has flown to various places and crewed on the ships as they made port. Really interesting stuff, Beautiful ships.

I love when these come to Duluth MN in the summer. First off it's a great little city, one of the best during the summer. Then on top of that there are a lot of great places to watch them sail in and out. It's way cool to watch them sail in from somewhere on the shore and imagine times long gone by.
