'Stroms in St Maarten

I just returned from a week in St Maarten, and was surprised to see several V's and 3-4 Wee's; there are very few large displacement motorcycles over there, and at least one less than when I got there: guy crashed what appeared to be a GSXR 750 near the airport, while passing into oncoming traffic. Luckily for him the truck driver avoided him, but he went down anyway.
Driving in St Maarten was "an experience to remember": people pass for no apparent reason, and scooters prevail (and also pass often); the posted speed limits appeared to be 30km/h, but most people were driving in the 35 - 40 mph range.
Narrow roads, most of which are not kept up, do not handle large US vehicles very well, and there was a huge variety of EU and Asian influenced vehicles.

All in all, in good place to visit!
