Not a Strom, But WOW!

I just read over on Motorcycle Daily about the new "Beastie" coming to your friendly Suzuki dealerships starting in 2008. Meet the long anticipated "Boost-King" from Suzuki!

Here are the words that were in the article on the new bike:

"The new B-King features its own version of the 1340cc DOHC engine found in the Hayabusa, with a gear-driven counter balancer. Like the Hayabusa, the B-King features dual injectors per cylinder and a drive mode selector (with only two modes for the B-King). The B-King also gets the slipper clutch.

The B-King has an entirely new aluminum frame and swingarm. Fully adjustable suspension front and rear rivals that of sport bikes, and radial-mount front brake calipers are also state-of-the-art. The rear wheel of the B-King features a massive 200mm tire."

From what I've read, the "Drive-Mode" selector controls engine output. Since the B-King has only two positions I'm wondering if they're lableled as "Holy Cow" and "What Was That" ?

That looks like something you'd see in th Transformers movie. I would call that a robot bike from a mile away.

I hope the new strom has some of those richer features.

Looks like it might knock the V-max off the podium of power/cruiser/standard (whatever they call that thing)

I wish they would have called it something else - I hear B-King and I think we are going out for burgers!

Have a great 4th of July, all.

Do you think the BK King was riding a B-King before this picture was taken?

See it to decide

I am not sure if I'll care for the way the turn signals are part of the fuel tank. They look kind of cheaply attached, as though they will always want to come loose and fall off. And I don't understand why the MSRP on it is a $1000 over that of the real Busa.
I will need to see it in person to decide if I like the bike or not.

It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have that hideous exhaust. Suzuki engineers don't have a clue as to what looks good on a motorcycle.

Wouldn't want to be on the pillion! Mind you, it is narrow enough for you to get a really good clench on!
