Could use your help.....

I need a exhaust cam for the front head on a DL1000 05.
Suzuki dealers do not have this item and is back ordered.....months to get one. Also there micro-fish is srcewed up to order the Cam's........part # and pic's are wrong. The cam's in the micro-fish are in the wrong places.
All part houses that have copied the Suzuki micro-fish is going to be wrong also.........which is everyone so far.

So, this bring's me to ask you folk's that if you know of anyone parting a bike out or know of one please let me know.
The DL1000 cam's from 02 to 07 are the same cam's.

I really could use the help here folk's.....thanks.

Kurt

It stinks not being able to get parts. I waited over 6 weeks to get an exhaust cam from Italy for my Aprilia last year, which is the main reason I dumped it. I wanted a bike with rapidly available parts.

If you have the cam out you could see if it can be reground, or ask one of the cam manufactures to make one for you.

You could try Sportwheel http://www.sportwheel.com. They are a huge motorcycle graveyard, and may have something. They're a little pricey for used in my opinion, but there is an amazing amount of stuff there.

The cam it's self is fine. There are two gear's on the end of the cam's. A thick one and a thin one. The outer cam gear is spring loaded. This spring loaded outer gear broke. Suzuki says that you have to replace the whole cam and do not sell the gear it self......go figure!

One good note about having two gears, is that noughing in the motor got hurt because the other gear kept everything in time.

mtlee, I will give them a shot...thanks.
