painting muffler shield

i got a few marks on my silver heat shield im sure a few here painted theres just looking for ideas thanks. i think its plastic not sure

me too. I just got a can of silver spray paint from the hardware store. Looks fine to me.

It is plastic but does not need to flex much. I scuffed and spray painted it black using a high heat product the first week I had the bike - painted the exposed header pipe, too.

I like the header pipe. Did you have to put a primer on it before painting?

No - the high heat paint I used is intended to go right over properly cleaned/prepped metal. I scuffed lightly and wiped down with wax/grease remover and then sprayed. Did it on the bike, so had to do lots of masking. It has held up well.

I painted mine satin black years ago. Still looks great.

Usually no need for plastic paint. It does not give nearly as good a finish, and you are painting over paint, not plastic.
