Reflect-All

I have reflective tape on a few sections of my bike but I was looking for a product to make the bike highly reflective and came across this product. It appears you "mist" the product on and it's transparent. The mist you spray on is an adhesive with micro glass beads and produces a reflection equal to the best tape. My top box and frame would be prime locations for spraying.

Anyone here use this before?

Me like. But I wonder what "semi-transparent" looks like.

Good find, sounds interesting. I like the tape that is black in color and is reflective, that stuff is nice as far as tape goes.

Can't answer that but this is from their FAQ. I was looking at ordering it in semi-transparent clear so that if it has a slight "color" it may still work for my silver frame just fine.

What Colors Are Available?
Reflect-All comes in semi-transparent clear, fluorescent yellow, fluorescent orange and white. Reflect-All dries to a semi-transparent low gloss matte finish.

Thanks I didn't think to look at Amazon. I'm reading through the reviews and it appears a person got a can that didn't work. Others are trying to spray way too thick which not only makes it less visible it turns things white. Then this review caught my eye as I got two of those stinking tickets and was looking for a way to make my plate reflective against their flash. If you spray something another tip a person had was to setup and spray in low light so you can see the mist hit and reflect and know when to stop spraying.

"pretty good spray to use for safety signs etc but many people dont know you can also use this against the annoying redlight cameras! you can spray lightly on your car license plate and it causes the camera flash to reflect back and you wont get a ticket! but spray very lightly or you will see greyish haze on the plate."

Not sure

Be curious to actually know what percentage of light is reflected, and how directional the reflections are. Clearly (sorry, bad pun) a semi-transparent coating is still letting a lot of light through (not reflecting it) so I suspect the reflectivity claims are overstated, if not bogus. Perhaps a very bright light (headlights, flash) may reflect enough to be effective, especially if the reflection is directional, but I doubt general visibility is much improved.
