92 Dl-1000

Hi guys,

Just bought a 92 DL-1000 in great condition with 6000 miles on it and will pick it up from the dealer tommorrow. Anything special I should know or look for? It has a centerstand that's kind of wobbley but doesn't seem to look in danger of letting the bike fall, just kind of loose, a throttle lock and a plug-in thing under the seat that the dealer says by-passes Suzuki's horsepower restrictions on 1-3 gears. I remember reading about that a few years ago but haven't seen anything on it lately. Anyway, thanks for letting me lurk here and I'll probaly be asking a few stupid questions about the bike as I go along and do some farkles.

I don't think they made DL1000's in 1992... and you must mean '92, because you used it at least 3 times.

Pay extra every time you accelerate?

Fred
I'm not always sarcastic.
Sometimes I'm facetious.
Or ironic.....

If a tree falls in a forest and lands on a politician, even if you can't hear the tree or the screams, I'll bet you'd at least hear the applause.

You only have to pay extra if you pull a wheelie with your wife on the back with all the bags packed, there is an extra charge for that, (via the local sherriff) LOL
