Talking Almost Broke 300

Made it to 296.4 miles on my wee. Took 5.27 gallons to fill it.

Lovin it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So in theory, I coulda made it 29.08 more miles, to 326.2 miles, on my 5.8 gallon tank.

Not bad, riding around here in the Smoky Mountains.

You are a brave one!! Don't want to run that tank dry, or you could burn up your fuel pump. I hear they are not cheap either.

Running low once in a while won't do any harm but running consistently low will, over time, do damage as the fuel is the cooling agent for the pump.

5.8 gal. At least that's the size of the Vee's tank.

My guage is pessimistic though. I usually fill it when it starts to flash, but it only takes about 4.9 to fill it.

I go 260 miles a tank every 2 days and sometimes take it as high as 310 miles to a tank. After 21k miles in eight months my fuel pump is still going.
