Thought I would ask if anyone knows where it is located. My '06 650 was pushed over when he borrowed it to go to the theater and now it wont start. Son says the tilt switch may be stuck. I had never heard of one before. Any ideas?
Very unlikely. The switch gets reset when the ignition is turned off and the bike is picked up. The usual culprit is a clutch switch connector. Check the two wires under the left switch housing to make sure both are connected. The kill switch and kickstand switch will put a CHEC display on the LCD screen if they are a problem. Also let us know if the starter turns over or not.
The engne cranks just fine, no spark. Thanks for the info. I'll look into it first thing in the morning. Had to have it hauled home with a wrecker, big bucks. I will get back to you with the results.

That did it! It was the clutch switch, Thanks, it's back on the road again.
Now if I could just get my son to ride his own bike, a Honda Magna, instead on my Wee-Strom when I'm out of town... Oh well, Seems like I have the best bike in the family, My other son has the 1000 V-Strom, I like mine better, fast enough, more agile, I could go on for a while here,
Love this forum.

I am on a drilling rig in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico for a while. When My son borrowed my bike to go the movies, He didn't contact me. Got most of the info talking to his brother and mother on the phone. Neither one is much of a mechanic. It may not have cranked, just the impression I got. Anyway, he reconnected the wires and is happy to have it going again.
He is supposed to meet me with the bike when I get off the crewboat later this week. We will truck the bike for a while and visit Texas.
A little vacation since he is going into the Navy at the end of the month.
We will have to find a bike shop or loading dock in Lake Charles since I forgot my ramp at the house.
