Elvis v. Beatles = cruisers v. sport?

I was just looking at a separate thread https://www.stromtrooper.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=12224 that talks the attributes of the Strom as compared to a Shadow 750.

Brought to mind a scene in the movie Pulp Fiction, where Uma Thurman tells John Travolta that there are two kinds of guys: Elvis guys and Beatles guys; then she guesses that he is more of an Elvis guy.

Do you think that applies to the types of people that choose cruisers or sport/dual purpose? I'd have to say I'm a Beatles kind of guy and I ride the DL1000. Any Elvis types out there on Vs or Wees?

And, more important, what would Uma choose? Or how about _______________ (enter the name of a person of your choice here)?

Oh, wait: Uma did ride a rocket in Kill Bill, didn't she? But in Pulp Fiction it might have been an HD.

W O W ! ! ! ! - What a heavy question!

A Beatles kind of guy - how wide and varied that can be!

Are we talking a "I Want To Hold Your Hand" or "Yellow Submarine" kind of Beatles guy here! (if you ride a yellow 2003 V-Strom, well that kind of answers that question!

Personally, I think the person that truly loves riding a V-Strom really can't be put into a group of any sort. The word, non-conformist, enters my mind when I think of what a V-Strom kind of person would be. There is a not a mold that could ever hold them. A free thinker, one that dares to be different from the masses. Is interested in value, capability, comfort and having fun. Not worried about what someone thinks about the way they dress, or what labels are on their clothing.

Yep, folks that are attracted to the V-Strom are very unique, talented and capable. They march to the beat of a different drummer when it comes to motorcycle selection.

At least that's the way I see it.

Don't you agree?

I love the Strom but I'm a cruiser guy at heart and will own another VS1400 at some point in the future.

The V Strom fits well.

I'm not always sarcastic.
Sometimes I'm facetious.
Or ironic.....

If a tree falls in a forest and lands on a politician, even if you can't hear the tree or the screams, I'll bet you'd at least hear the applause.

I'm just kidding. I love Elvis. I grew up listening to both Elvis and the Beatles, mainly due to my parents being boomers. Like 'em both.
