This forum is TOO POPULAR

I try to read the NEW POSTS every other day, and there are TOO MANY.

Seriously, I've never owned a bike that had such a huge owner base!

And the truly amazing thing is that there are almost no negative posts.
Generally forums are havens for those people who are unhappy with a product and just want everybody else to know it. Check most car forums out.

Too popular is ADV size site, ever tried keeping up with posts on there:!: There are like communities within the community. If you post a new thread asking a question you'd better hope someone see's it with a few hours otherwise it just gets buried in the sheer volume of posts.

I guess if Brendan thinks this is getting too popular he can start to sticky posts within the Regional forums...so they kinda break the same subjects up but into regional lists.

DL650K7, OEM centrestand, Givi crashbars, Ventura rack and bag,SW Motech Quicklock Tank "Trial" Bag, Oxford Soft Pannier Bags, Ventura headlight guard, Dan V Skidplate, Dan V Radiator and Oil Cooler guards, Dan V Luggage protector, Hyperlites, Madstad windshield bracket, Eagle Screen, Pyramid Fenda Extenda, Crampbuster, Kaoko Throttle Lock, Acerbis Handguards, Bicycle handlbar Highways Pegs Mk II, Autocom & UHF CB, Pacsafe.

This place kind of reminds me of a sports bar or something along those lines. A place where you can go and relax, talk to people with the same interests as you, and just relax.

I personally think it's for two reasons:
First is the moderators. They do a great job, they don't play power games like on some forums, and they generally just let things play out as they will. One forum I used to frequent has gotten to the point that if you say ANYTHING bad or (God forbid!) disagree with a moderator you'll be banned until the year 2159 (yeah, really 2159).

Next is the people. A forum is just software, nothing more and nothing less. It's the people that take the time to set it up, foot the bills, and all the members that make it worthwhile. In general we have a great bunch of people around here. A couple of pricks, admittedly, but no more than you'd expect to see anywhere else. I've only been around a year but if you look around you'll see that there are a lot of people that have been here a long time and are still active. Most of the forums I've frequented you will see people come and people go. Here they tend to hang around a while. I'm sure glad they do to because the information I've gotten from a lot of them has been invaluable.

Too popular? Nah, it's just right.

The way to keep up is to visit more often.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
See https://www.stromtrooper.com/general-...nicknames.html

Please vote in the poll on what Strom(s) you have at https://www.stromtrooper.com/informat...-you-have.html
