Is there a ride like HWY 212 from Red Lodge, MT to Cooke City, MT in ON or NY? I haven't lived in this area long enough to have a working knowledge of the good riding roads..
Thanks for any responses.

The Bear Tooth Highway

There's not too many roads in the entire US that can quite match the BTH. I have never ridden in The Adirondacks and hope to do so sometime in the future. I have ridden the BTH close to a dozen times and consider it to be the number one scenic ride in the lower 48. But then again, I have not seen it all...

I was impressed with the 70mph sign posted on top of the mountain. I thought it was very sporting considering the lack of guard rails and openness of the terrain.
I believe one must have elevated terrain or river courses to warrant roads like Beartooth.
Living in the flat lands must be frustrating.

Ahnold,

Have you ever been on the Million Dollar Highway in Colorado? US Route 550 from Silverton to Ouray. The Beartooth Highway is 69 miles of absolute awesomeness to be sure, but I think the Million Dollar Highway might take it. That is completely subjective of course.

And not to highjack this thread. Mostly trying to build up my posts so I can put something in the classified section.
