Big Magnetic Tank Bags

I just purchased a big Firstgear expandable tank bag for my 2008 Wee-Strom. It does not fit the Wee worth a damn. Dimensions are: 14"L x 10"W x 8"H compressed, 11"H when expanded. A picture of it is attached.

I have to take it back for a refund; a 200-mile round trip. Magnets and wings holding magnets are not in the right place. It has a flat bottom and maybe it needs to be curved for a good fit?

So I don't make the same mistake again, can anyone recommend a large magnetic tank bag that actually fits the Stroms well?

From reading other posts about this, the Joe Rocket Manta XL magnetic is supposed to be a good fit, and I may end up with that, but I would prefer a bigger bag than that. I have looked at a Manta XL in person, and there is nothing "extra large" about it. Touring 2-up with camping gear for a month at a time, I need all the room I can get, anywhere I can get it. I also plan on using tank panniers in addition to regular rear panniers.

I have read that the Wolfman Rainier fits, but it does not come in a magnetic version.

Perhaps I will have to settle for a smaller bag in order to get a good fit, or even give up the magnetic option as a last resort, but please help me avoid a mistake again. I realize tank bag preferences are very personal, but if I had a list of ones that actually fit well, or even some general advice on what to look for to insure a better fit, it will help me immensely in my shopping.

With 3 feet of snow in the last week, it's tough for me to take the bike to stores to try the fit, although that would be ideal. Plus, most stores have a pretty limited selection.

Thanks for any help and recommendations. I've read every post I can find on tank bags, so please don't tell me this has been discussed before and chide me for not searching the forum. Why do most threads include a post that says this? Besides, everything has been discussed before, which would leave us nothing to talk about, would it?

Helpful responses are MUCH appreciated. Thanks!

I have a gas cap mount bag from Twisted Throttle. It works great. Hangs off the tank so you don't have to worry about scratching it, and it's easy on/off.

I had all my electronics in it for charging, as well as my SLR camera. Basically everything electrical.

Similar to this one, but I have a map pocket on top. They don't seem to list mine here anymore.

Bags-Connection "City" EVO Quick-Lock Tankbag for SW-MOTECH Gascap Mounting System - TwistedThrottle.com.

My buddy bought a magnetic bag for his bike, but I don't know details about it.

I have the Firstgear Laguna Tankbag. Works like a champ and fits the Strom tank like a glove. The four large magnets are very strong and I have the strap running around the triple tree. The bag ain't moving, trust me. I has been a great bag. Big, fits well, and looks pretty darn good too.

I use a Tourmaster Cortec 18-liter, which is flat-bottomed and should not fit but seems to. I like it because it has hidden straps that let it become aback-pack. It has a built-in rain cover, which comes in handy here in the Pacific Northwet. Bad picture below:

I have a rectangular Givi tank bag that looks similar to the OP's Firstgear one. The magnets didn't fit the tank very well in the standard mounting position. I usually put it on the tank backwards so the wider magnet flaps are on the narrower part of the tank. I also bunch it up a little to get the magnets seated well. Mounted this way, the magnets are all flat against the tank and it stays on very well. I don't use a safety strap. I suppose it isn't as waterproof in this position but I rarely ride in the rain.
