Last week I went down for the first time in ages. It wasn't really my fault, since I was taken down by a runaway pop-up canopy at a sporting event. I wasn't hurt too badly (don't tell my ribs that), but did suffer a few damaged areas on my Vee. The promoter said they will take cae of the damage, which brings me to my question.
My right Givi E360 bag took a pretty good hit on the leading edge and got ground down some. There is plenty of material there, but the bag looked great before this happened. The lid does not seat well until the latch is closed, so I am not sure if the whole bag could have been tweaked somewhat. Would it make sense to just replace the lid and does anyone know how this is done?
The guy I am dealing with (he works for the promoter) is a very good friend and I don't want to "stick" anyone and cause problems with our friendship. That is why I am hesitant to press him for a new bag. There are other more important/expensive damaged areas (helmet, crash bars, etc) that I don't want to skimp on.
