Yucch. Chain lube on my tire.

This is the kind of dumb question that someone who has been riding shaft bikes for generations would have to ask. I gave my chain a good spraying with Motul lube today. Then i noticed I had gotten gobs of it on the tire. It covers well past the chicken strip region. I tried some Ajax dish soap but that didn't cut it. I took the bike out and made a series of very easy turns and that did seem to scrub off some toward the center of the tire. I'm afraid to try that system in a sharper turn with more lean though.

Can anyone recommend something to get this stuff off?

I use kerosene when that happens.

As I've told you many times before, the journey is the destination. So to answer your question: Yes, we are there.

Kerosene seemed to get it. I just came back from a test ride and I'm still alive. Someone suggested brake cleaner after the kerosene, but that made it slicker to the touch again, so I removed it with kerosene.
