On and Off switch for ABS

It would usefull on certain gravel roads. It would cost about 5.00$ and stop the bragging by the BMW guys.

We can brag because our bikes are THOUSANDS less. You can add an ABS switch for a few bucks. Who's bragging now?

Problem is, once you shut off the ABS... I was under the impression the only way to bring it back on was to cycle the ignition on/off...

That is normally the case. If the switch is connected to the main power leads, it can work on the fly. http://www.vstrom.info/Smf/index.php/topic,8792.0.html

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

This is true unless you do what was posted above. Is cycling the ignition something that is hard for you to do?

Not really, but that wasn't what my point was... It's a little inconvenient if done on the fly... I mean once off, it's not as easy as just flicking a switch to bring it back online while you are still riding.

I am not the one who asked the question in the first place, I just responded to it. I have an ABS DL 650 (just forgot to include in my sig). All V-stroms in Canada now come in ABS only. Like I said, I am not the OP and could care less whether I can turn the ABS on and off....
