Reference: Purchase of Suzuki DL650 ABS

Dear Mr. Saito:

I am writing to you directly to reflect my frustration, and the frustration of many other owners and prospective owners, over delivery of Suzuki motorcycle models, specifically the V-Strom DL650 ABS.

When I first became interested in this motorcycle in April of 2007, I visited a nearby dealer, Cycles 128 of Beverly MA. They informed me that neither their dealership nor their two associated dealerships had ordered any V-Stroms, and had no plans to do so. They recommended a BMW GS! No other area dealers had one in stock, so I purchased a used 2005 model.

On websites like stromtroopers.com, VSRI.info, and advrider.com, many other existing and prospective owners continue to report the same experience: no dealer stock, and dealers unable or unwilling to order one.

I would like to order a 2009 DL650 ABS. I called several local dealers, who report that they do not expect 2009 models before November or December and have no definite information. This is not confidence inspiring since some prospective owners report 2008 ‘s were never delivered.

How can I order a DL650 ABS?
