If I had one wish for the wee it would be for a lower exhaust (like the Verys). This would allow panniers (happy trails Teton) to attach closer to the center of the bikke by several inches. As of now the width is a danger.

Seems to me if Suzuki would make an 800-850 cc strom it would negate the building of the 650 or 1000 models...

650 becomes 800-ish and gains no weight in the process. 1000 bloats to a mines-bigger-than-yours 1200 to compete with the other behemoth ADVs.

the DR platform could be re-purposed to ADV duty for an uber-light (no reason for it to gain more than 30 pounds) trail oriented ADV. Finally the single tracker, all day comfortable, swervery taming bike we could all wrap a throttle hand around.

Low exhaust is a no go for me. Keep it high so I can go where I want to go. Just design the exhaust so everything is a bit "tighter" when put together. For example, some bikes tuck two pipes under the rear fender/luggage rack.

The must for me is to never sell that horrible stock windshield again. Beg, borrow or steal the Givi AirFlow or madstrad windshield idea and put it on all V-Stroms.

I understand the importance of keeping cost down but a different windshield shouldn't cost that much more than the current one.

Just my thoughts....

it's called a Honda cb500x and it is a lot of fun.

needs better suspension and the third party extensive off road makeover to be a stock option.
