Long Weekends - NE, USA

Fellow Strommers;

Looking at two long weekend rides in the NE USA, coming out of Montreal, Canada.

One will surely be Vermont, which I find absolutely beautiful thinking of riding around Lake Champlain. Any other recommendations on Vermont?

I am also looking for a second 3 day trip; NY, NH, Maine would appreciate someones two cents on these states.

Tx!

Vt. Rides

Hello Louis,
Jack here (VtSTROM) I had an idea that you'll come over at the Rouses Point N.Y. or the Highgate VT. border points (thats where I used to cross to go to Montreal) I would take Rt 2 across the Rouses Point bridge. Down to Waterbury Then Rt. 100 south to Irasville then Rt. 17 west to thru the Appalachian gap / Mad River Glen ( Beautiful , with a lot of twisting road)over to bristol , on over to Addison take Rt 22 south to Fair Haven, then either west to lake George or you can go east on Rt4 to Rutland or south on 22a to Poultney then south on rt 30 to manchesterwhere you can pick up rt 11 &30 to Londonderry then north on 100 to Newport VT. This is a two day ride that I have taken last summer.
