I know there is a few of us V-Stromers in the Northern VA area and wanted to see what kind of interest there would be to hold a meet and greet?

I was thinking of meeting somewhere in Sterling/Leesburg area for breakfast and then go for a day ride.

I personally don't know of any good group routes so I would have to leave that part of to someone else.

I'd be up for that if it's in the next couple of weekends. I'm moving soon. Point of Rocks on the MD side across the bridge and back down thru VA is a nice day /morning/ ride.

I could probably make it- - I wouldn't have to wash my bike, would I?

Are you looking to do a paved-only route or a mixed surface route? (I don't want to make any assumptions either way.) I think paved-only is probably easier to put together. Personally, I'm a fan of the roads from Leesburg down to Middleburg and then down to Front Royal. There are lots of options and you can chose paved or dirt/gravel roads.

I just moved to the area and am in for a ride just about any weekend... Lets get this thing planned... Anyone up for it this weekend?

I was thinking all street riding this time around.
If others are interested we could open it up to our friends who might have the misfortune of not owning a V-strom. (Bring some more into the ranks haha):biggrinjester:

I'm out of town the next two weekends, but would join the group for rides later. Sundays are generally best.

If any of you are interested in doing a "meet and ride" on Saturday 7/2 I'd be down for that. I don't know of any good places to get breakfast in/around Leesburg/Sterling so my plan would be to meet at the Lansdowne Starbucks for intros and coffee at 8 or 9 (depending on how early folks like to get going) then ride for a bit and stop somewhere for breakfast or lunch, again depending on what folks would prefer (MOM's in Front Royal or Applehouse are the usual suspects for me). I'm open to other ideas if someone else wants to put it together though. If this date doesn't work don't worry about it, we can/should do more than one of these.

I like that plan and I'm game (Not sure if the wife can make it but I will). Being I am 15/20 minutes from Lansdowne that plan is fine for me.
It will be nice to test out the new farkles on a short ride. Haven't had much time to play with the new panniers and the madstad and windshield come in monday.
