D.T. Usually October sometime. You can call John at the IronHorse and he can tell you what the leaves look like at any specified time. We sometimes make an October run to the Horse but I do not plan on it this year. Usually the colors are good on different sides of the Smokies at different times so no matter when you go you will see great colors in October. Good luck and post pics after you go.

Hey guys, Heads up. It is only 6 months till we all meet again at The Iron Horse for another gathering and some excellent riding. For me that is just around the corner. Get your reservations in if you haven't already done so. Usually after the first of the year there are no more cabins or rooms available but always a space for your tent.
Several more months of cabin fever to get through but just think about May 2018 and you can make it. We tried some new things last year and some were a hit, we intend to do the same in 2018 with a few more items added in if we can find the time to do it all.
Some have suggested starting on Wednesday but that is not in the plan for 2018. This is the place to voice your opinions on what you would like to see happen at the Horse during our get together so feel free to elaborate.
We always appreciate any ideas other than our own (we had an idea once but we forgot what it was) (too busy riding anyway). Reall, if you would like to see something new just post it here for all to see and we will go from there. I think this year we plan to go to Wheels Through Time museum again to see Dale and for sure a picnic if we can convince "Chef Mark" to cook again. (not a hard thing to do) he loves to grill. If you missed the Museum and cookout last year you need to put it on your agenda in 2018.
Till we meet again.

Nice article on Dale and the Wheels Through Time Museum in the Holiday 2017 issue of the Blue Ridge Motorcycling Magazine.

Looking forward to another visit and another culinary treat by The Chef.

Confirmed a room today for the 2018 rally. Wife will join me next year so I'll prob opt for the FJR again over the Wee. Oh well, just glad to have the company and to see everyone again.

I can burn a dog with the best of them....!!!! The Museum Tour was really special last year.......put it on your radar screen for the 2018 Rally if you did not go last year.
