2017 West Fest - Steamboat Springs, CO - July 20-23

West Fest was the first Adventure riding event I attended as a new rider. Back in 2008, I rode my 2007 DL650 to southwestern Colorado for a long weekend of phenomenal riding in the San Juan Mountains.

Come join us this year. If you plan to come, you should secure a reservation at the KOA or hotel asap....so that you have tent spot or bed.

You will want to stay connected with this main thread: West Fest Click HERE

July 20-23 -- Steamboat Springs, CO

Registration Fee: $65 per Attendee
(Registration Site will be Up and Active by April 1st. You'll have an option to add a donation to the local trail/riding club, Timberline Trail-riders, and any left-over funds from the general account will be donated to them as well.)

Registration Pays For: AMA Sanctioning and Insurance, Group Site Fees, Grocery Bill for 5 Meals and Swag. (Camping, RV, Cabins, Motel.....your responsibility and this is a BYOB event.)

We have a Basecamp of Operations!!!!

Steamboat Springs KOA
Address: 3603 Lincoln Ave, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487
Phone: (970) 879-0273

Our group, negotiated rate is $10 per person, per night for tent camping. When you call, mention you are coming in with ADVRider West Fest to get the group rate. The tent/block/group rate will be held until April 15th. After that.....normal pricing which is about $40 a night per tent.

If you want any of the cabins, you need to call quickly, as they will go very, very fast.
There is no discounts on cabins and RV spots, because they are in such high demand.

The whole back of the property, including along the river and under the trees is reserved for West Fest, all of the Open Parking Area.

If you want a Motel, it's up to you.....there are several in town.

There will be multiple and various loops.....

All Pavement.....

50% pavement and 50% mild dirt road.....

Should be an event that is very appealing to all riders.....

Planning to attend in 2018. Some of us eastern folk want to get back out to the real mountains to ride. Hope to get a few more interested. Wish we could join you all this year but life got in the way again. Jealous is what we are. I keep thinking 2018 is not really that far away. (right)
Keep the pictures coming to entice us. Riding anywhere is fun, in the Rockies it is FANTASTIC! Last time I was there was in 2005 so I can't wait to get back. Thanks to all that make this happen.
Hope to see you all in 2018.

Have no idea about 2018. The event nearly died the last several years. 2015-2016 it perked up and I am expecting 2017 to be a smashing success. As I get more pics....I will post them up.

Gang, the long weekend and spring-like weather in February afforded me the chance to ride. Did a 300 mile loop, up over Loveland Pass and Hosier Pass. Yes, I was a little chilly at times, but it was so good to get away on a bike.

Steamboat is coming soon.....!!!!!

I organize a Enduro Adventure Touring ride every year. Part of the 2016 video, that I just finished travels around the Steamboat area.

Enjoy......

I just realized that our annual family week-long camping trip ends on the 21st. Major bummer. I love the gatherings and Colorado riding, both. I am seriously bummed. I hope you have a great trip and rides there in Colorado. If you go over these passes, give the signs a whack for me. Engineer's Pass and Emogine Pass. I may have the spelling wrong. If I recall, Emogine was at 13,200'. What a view from those mountains. Bobby
