Thumbs up Dakar

So has anybody else been following the Dakar?

Real bugger about Toby but he gave it his best shot and will be back.

Just found these picks of Matt Hart currently sitting 44th outright, great job.

Mind you I don't think I would like to be his feet

This is from the first 12 days of the race wearing boots....

Mean while Todd Smith is sitting 19th outright

Cheers

They need boots with drainage! Excelent coverage. It seems to me bikes are getting more attention this year? Like more coverage time? Too bad two stages in the Andes had to be cancelled due to flooding.

I've been watching and thought the same. This year they're really focusing on the bikes and cars, cramming the trucks and quads into a few minutes each at the end of the show. And they're leading every episode with the bikes.

A shame about Toby Price and Ricky Brabec.

If it's a good day to wash the bike, it's a better day to ride the bike.

Not the easiest race to follow. I am in Colombia and have seen some updates on fox sports, but not much race footage, mostly talking.

Check out Lyndon Poskit #100 I met him when I crossed from Panama to Colombia on the Stahlratte. He is racing Malle Moto (no outside assistance). He also has "races to places" videos on youtube. He is a really good guy!

So its over for another year.

Matt Hart finished 44th overall & Todd Smith 18th.

Well done to them both

The coverage was better than previous years but I would love to see more

Cheers

I've seen Poskit in several of the between-race-coverage shorts. Every time they show him, he seems to be having a great time.
