Barber - ANYONE????

Anybody heading to Barber Vintage on OCTOBER 9-11? For those of you not in the Southeast U.S. , it is outside of Birmingham Alabama.

For those who have not been there, you don't know what you are missing. Take a look at https://www.barbermotorsports.com/vintage-home.php

The vintage races are great. The swapmeet is fantastic. But the museum is second to none!!! Three stories of the best collection of motorcycles on earth.

Post if you are headed there.

I'll be staying at a Super 8 in Homewood with great rates and easy access.

BaBa's.........

https://www.stromtrooper.com/events/2...y-october.html

Buy tickets on-line early....or, risk sitting in a line at the Hampton Inn to buy them......new rules this year.
Staying in Homewood......make sure your bike is covered & locked up (at least in certain parts of Homewood.....i.e. Green Springs Hiway Area).
The Hiway 280 area is only 30 minutes from the track and probably much more secure area.

No doubt the on-line tickets will create problems for those that don't read the website. Also, I wouldn't plan to take my car there BUT it sounds as though they have made plans for off-site parking and a shuttle.

Last years lines were terrible! But even so it was a great time.

I'll be in the Swap Meet Thurs thru Sunday, spot #H-30. If you did not order tickets on-line yet, you will need to go the Hampton Inn to buy them Friday - Sunday.....NO ticket sales will be done at the Barber Complex (to reduce traffic). And, parking fees will be charged this year, except if you ride in on a bike. Off-site parking with free shuttle service up the mile Barber Blvd 4-lane. I've heard parking will be one of two places: an open lot across from the Barber Entrance Sign......or, at the Outlet Mall Parking lot 1-2 miles away (sucks). A lot of folks will be upset if they don't know the new rules......prepare for a lot of negative feedback after the event.

Come by and say "hello"........and/or buy a bike or two from me!!!

Another GREAT event!!! I spent my whole 4 days in the Swap Meet with my buddies........did not take a single pic or watch any races, but was entertained the whole time. Sold 2 of my 3 bikes......and lots of accessories.

Indeed it was great!!! Was there Friday and Saturday.
A few purchases at the flea market, no new (old) bike.
Travels through the paddock. Even saved the day for a Norton Manx rider.
Got to see the trials area for the first time (It was excellent.)
All those great bikes.
365 days til next year. Can't dwell on that because BIKETOBERFEST is this week and Thunder on the Beach fall is the week after.
