Is anyone interested in exercising their Strom in April??? Have you wanted to do a long distance ride? Will you be ready for an end to winter.

March is for Daytona. May is the East V-Strom gathering. So....... where to ride in April?

Having done several Iron Butt rides I want to do one on my Wee. What better a ride than the 50cc, 50 hrs coast-to-coast from Jacksonville to San Diego.

my next IBA ride will be a 50cc

I am undecided on whether to attempt a 50cc the hard way from NH or ride to Jax and ride the shorter Jax to SD route

Even from here in NH, the shortest route to the west coast ends in SD

I'm thinking that I will probably attempt the 3100 mile ride beginning at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME and ending at the San Diego Naval Base, and if not successful, then attempt the Jax -SD route in reverse

My first JAX to SDO was on my Harley and was 2,374 miles and 46+ hours. Ran out of gas once, MANY stops for gas, dealt with too many ICE checkpoints, and I even spent 4 hours in a rathole hotel getting some sleep at about the midpoint.

I don't speed and I hope to do a better time on the Wee but time really isn't crucial as long as it is under 50 hours.

I would sure like another Trooper to join the ride.

I wish I could join you, but I'm still working and vacation time is limited.
I did the 50CC 2 years ago, and did the 100CCC last March after bike week.
both were done on my Wing....

I just about have my '14 DL650 ready for my next adventure... Key West to Deadhorse. I'm doing this in July/Aug.

Tried the ultimate last year from Key West to Deadhorse. Turned south in Montana after a couple days of agonizing riding. Are you doing the UCC solo? Are you looking for another rider?
