I may make it down there on the Saturday rain or shine (which will determine how long I stay). I am trying to get my route set up and see if I can stop by and have a look at the old bikes. I wasn't expecting to go so far south. Maybe I'll do a bit more slab down to Augusta and then take the 17 across.
I am heading across Maine into New Brunswick to visit my brother over the long weekend.

The weather is supposed to be pretty decent. The only reason that I mentioned it is that everyone here in Vacationland hates rainy days. It's not so much the rain but every tourist in the area is on the road. Massive traffic jams. From where you're coming from it won't be bad.

There's a few of us over in the New England region forum that may be there Saturday as well - I'll definitely be there, some of the others range from probablys to maybes.

DannyC, I'll be heading over there Saturday morning from Augusta myself, along with a buddy on his '92 Nighthawk, if you're interested in joining us. We don't have a solid departure time yet, but I think we're looking to hit the show not long after it opens. We're planning to take the scenic route though, up route 3 then cut around Lake St. George, down the ridges on 220 in Washington, then 17 the rest of the way in. Shoot me a PM if you're interested in riding with us.

Thanks for thinking of me, but I will be arriving at the show around 12 or 1 pm. That's probably the earliest I can in there as I am heading out early Sat. morn. either from Montreal or from Magog, QC. It seems all the routes take me through Augusta, but don't wait for me. Hopefully you may still be around by the time I arrive, but maybe not.
Just like everything in life, it's a question of timing.
After checking out the old bikes, I am heading up to Bar Harbor area and then on to Saint Andrews, NB or however far I can get before dark. Then onwards to visit my brother in Saint-Norbert,NB.
Ride safe,
Danny C.

Good question. It looks like I will be passing through Bethel on my way down where I have to catch the 26th coming off the 2.
I am not sure what time I will get through there, but don't wait for me.
I estimate my pass through time would be around 10am. Then on to the museum.
If you think you 2 are going I'd be happy to see you again.
Let me know and I will PM you my cell# for you to check on me.
DannyC.

I'll be heading down, but Gini has to work. Going to try to be on the road around 7ish and arrive 1000ish. Heard its best to arrive early to avoid the crowds.
