With the blessings of my wife
I'll be departing L.I. on Sept 2nd or 3rd, tarmacking through Maine, and am planning to tour as much of NS as I can reasonably fit in eight or ten days. Camping will be my preference, along with the occasional motel, depending on weather and stink factor. I'm intending to take my time, smell the flowers, enjoy the ride, hike a bit, and not worry about getting to the destination. I know I won't see the whole province and that's ok with me. I do plan on riding the Cabot Trail and exploring out of the way places, both coastal and inland. Wouldn't mind doing a bit of fishing and campfire dining, though I may talk myself out of that one.
September is still warm and dry (supposedly). Leaves will be turning, though not peaking, or so I hear. Best of all, the kids are back in school, so the summer crowds will be considerably emptied out.
Going solo is fine with me, but if there's anyone out there interested in joining up, either for part of the adventure, or the whole enchilada, cool. I'd love the company.
