Indy MotoGP Meat-n-Greet Cookout

Howdy, Fellow Strommers!

The 2013 Indianapolis MotoGP is next weekend, August 16-18.

I live pretty close to the track, so I always host a "Meat-n-Greet" cookout for my riding friends on Friday.

Meaty treats will start coming off the grill about 7:00 pm.

Feel free to stop by!

I'm located near the intersection of Georgetown Road and 79th street. (Just to give you an idea, the IMS track runs from 16th to 25th street along Georgetown.)

If you're headed north on Georgetown, take the first right (Clayburn Dr.) after you pass the light at 79th, then take the first right onto Seawood Court. First driveway on the right.

If you plan to stop by, please post in this thread so I can plan for enough brats and burgers.

Thanks! Anyone else?

Thanks for the invite. I'm trying to plan out my weekend at the last minute. I know last year someone (GW) posted a location for some free camping space. I've been searching this site hoping to find that's it's happening again this year. Any news on whether or not this is happening again? Just looking for an open field to sleep in and maybe some friends to join me. Anyone planning on heading to the Indy GP from NE Ohio?

GW once again has offered camping space, but he only posted it on ADV.

Have fun; I'm skipping it this year. I'd love to see Marquez win it all!

Dead end.

Alright. I've hit a dead end. Last year there was a guy I had talked to who had offered camping on his property within less than 10 miles of the GP. The only GW that I know pointed out that he lives in Illinois. Any hints? It's not the OP is it? I've misplaced my contact information. Anyone know if the offer is still on the table for this year? I really just need a place to put up the tent, nothing else. Any help would be appreciated and repaid with much gratitude. Thanks!

There's a greywolf and there's a graywolf on this forum -- I think the one with the "a" is the guy near Indy.

If you get stuck, PM me...

I've never seen so many bikes on my way into work this morning. Looks like there are a lot of riders in town for the race. Welcome to Indy!

Bwringer, Wish I could make it to the cookout. We will have to get together and ride sometime. I'm a southsider but work close to where you live. Do you know any other Stromtroopers in town?
