The safest place to put it above the dash. The further away from your normal line of sight the less safe it becomes. And frankly, the less useful.

Look down at the bottom of your screen. You can still see he screen even though it is not you primary focal point. Now look down and your keyboard. You become less aware of the screen. Now look at your belly button. Screen becomes less and less part of your visual field.

We sell mirror extenders with places for Ram balls to be mounted. Some people use them for GPS, phones, cameras etc. However, above the dash is where I always recommend you put a GPS.

I stumble on your site already, really like that over the top. Found other that are cheaper (in terms of price like ravetec). None on amazon, you should consider Shipping to canada and exchange rate is killing me. Also, I tried putting my phone under the dash and I can't find anyway to mount it under the windshield without hiding the cluster (oneplus 7 pro with case). Unless I use it in landscape mode, which would require some use to. But I'm looking for something like that, that wouldn't cost that much,

this is even more in line of sight....I can't stand under the windscreen ....impossible to reach - way too awkward, can't change the angle for reflections. Might be okay for old style GPS with marginal screens and chunky graphics.
There is a lot of detail on Phone based GPS applications....leaning over to peer at an under dash unit doesn't cut it for me.

Sorry, international shipping hurts our sales as well. As for the other "vendor" you mentioned, there is a LOT of history here on Stromtrooper that the new guys just miss.

We might be able to send it first class. I don't believe Canada charges tariffs on motorcycle parts, but we are custom forms friendly. I'll check about first class.

for now I bought a ubolt for handlebar with arm and x grib + a gas tank holder and medium arm and a camera mounting screw that I'll use for some other stuff. I'll check what I like. The ubolt might go on my bicycle for my speaker instead. Until I can find something to make an under the dash ram ball that doesn't cost too much to get in Canada. Thanks!

Well, it's still about 100CAD for me. And that's without any ram accessories required to mount my phone on it.

I'm also unsure about the x-grip from Ram, it does look "cheap". While I see many good reviews, I also see lot of bad. I have a oneplus 7 pro with a case one, this thing is huge.

I'm unsure about the mirror mount, I'd like to have my phone away from rain / rock / wind, thus why I was thinking of installing it somewhere under the windshield away from the cluster.

@PerazziMx14 what phone mount do you use?

If I understand correctly, our handlebar is between 0.5 inch and 1inch diameter.

THanks everyone!
Its a RAM quick grip
