taking some oil when ridden high RPM?

I heard on other that over 7k RPM moto starts to take some oil, is it true???

I ride mine hard almost exclusively on tight country mountain roads. I don't remember topping oil off once between the last change intervals. Level stayed within acceptable range.

Lot of Suzuki's do that when on the slab for extended periods...not so much other wise. ..it's only the extended run.
Theory is it goes into the breather.

Several have reported the issue. Theory is its oil vapor going out breather into air filter and back through the engine.

So far no negligible oil loss on my 15XT between 4k mile oil changes, and it's ridden plenty hard. There are plenty of reports from what was mentioned above in post #4, but that generally happens with 650's over 60k miles and is also documented with the first generation 1000's.

My 100K miles 04 Wee do dat sometimes. But I made it back from St Paul to LA with oil still in the sight glass.
