Another option that I used on my 2009 DL650 was Cogent Dynamics. I did buy a kit for my 2017 DL650 as well but have not installed it yet.

I'll look into the intiminators. But do they need to be set up, or can they be dropped in just like that?

They drop in but you need to take the fork legs out and empty the fluid out. You need to make a different length spacer for the spring preload (PVC pipe works well) and you must use the specified viscosity fluid. It's designed to pass through the OEM guts of the fork without much resistance and the drop in stack gives you the damping and it is designed for that viscosity.

Any other options?
I totally agree with you that "I find the front fork both jarring on potholes and bumps." I'm honestly surprised that Suzuki found that acceptable (not that I have anything to compare it to). My strategy is to just deal with it for the foreseeable future as my farkling has eaten up the budget for the time being.

I had the same feeling with my CB500X.

I threw some money at it (in the form of a rally-raid level 1 setup, which greatly improved things), but then 10k km later I decided to buy a Wee

Don't want to make the same mistake again, I'm lusting after so many different models, I don't think it's wise to throw 'real' money at this bike (other than maybe another windscreen).

I may ride the Wee for 3 or four years, or I may not

On my 'desire' list:
- Triumph Tiger 800
- Moto Guzzi V7 Rough
- Moto Guzzi TT85
- SWM Superdual T
- Yamaha XSR 900
- Triumph Street Triple
- Kawasaki Z900 RS

ah. I don't think a real suspension upgrade (to the sound of 500-1000EUR) for the Wee is in my future (though if I can find a local source for the Intiminators, I may try to get those)

Well buying budget bikes you can't expect to get high performance suspension.

Look for some intiminators in the used section here, they come up every now and then. Even new it's not a lot of money and makes a marked difference. And if you are so inclined you can even take them out again before you sell the bike since that mod is totally reversible.

I'd never heard of intiminators until you mentioned them now and I looked them up. After what you wrote about them, and after reading other positive reviews, I'll have to add them to my wish list. Website says they're @ $175 now. Thanks for the head's up.
