Headlight Relay necessary?

Anyone know if the 2017+ Wee's have an OEM headlight harness installed? (My low beam turns off during start.)
Thinking about the Eastern Beaver harness to protect switchgear, but not sure if it's really necessary. But also, the EB website says H4, and the 2017+ Wee has H7 and H9 (single filament) bulbs.

Also, I've run heated grips, heated jacket, and aux lights simultaneously without any drop in voltage on the panel readout.

With the change to single headlight the problem doesn't to be coming up on the new models. 55w versus 110. EB doen't make a harness, but if you felt the need they are easy to make.

Install LED bulbs and most certainly never worry about it.

Yes, but I've googled here there and everywhere and haven't found anything definitively for sure that will fit a 2017+ Wee.

Fairly sure this is the same as the later model 1000's.

If so when high beam is on, both lights are on. This is a very good thing if you ride on undulating roads at night because the road doesn't keep disappearing in front of you on the new bikes.

If you expect to ride a lot at night then maybe, but putting a LED bulb in the high beam (only) is an easier mod. Plenty of light and a lot less load.

The reason for high beam only is that's easy, low beam is H7 and fairly difficult to retrofit. High beam, at least on my 1000 was trivially easy.

High is H9/H11 - check the LED lighting posts on Advrider for the newer LED's with a construction that matches filament bulbs and it should just work. I have an older generation LED headlight and all I had to do was lower it some anyway. Avoid the really cheap ones .
FWIW: The ones with fans on the back fit and work just fine on a bike.

I put a low beam LED in my '17 and had no problems. I shared some details of my install *HERE* and *HERE*. Wish I had taken photos. I will next time I have my dash off.

I decided not to do the high beam LED because fitment seemed like more of a problem, and I rarely use it.

I found the opposite to be true with my '17 650. No problem getting the LED to fit in the low beam, but gave up on doing the high beam. I can't recall what the issue was with high beam fitment, but there definitely was a no-go obstacle.

The low beam bulb is an H7.
The high beam bulb is an H9.

LED's are available for both, and I recommend that if you are concerned about load through the starter button that the low beam is the one you need to replace. The low beam H7 LED is brighter and better shows the road up close.
I like these (although I can only find them as a pair) as the black plastic piece in the middle is removable - meaning that you can fit that plate first, and then the OEM rubber weather seal, and then fit the LED bulb through the weather seal and into the bulb holder.

For the H9 https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-sides-H11...AAAOSwszVbuxZv

I can only find them in pairs - but they are great LED's. Both are 6000k color temperature i.e. bright white.

Also checkout "superbrightleds.com" I have one of their LED plug and play "fan-less" LED bulbs in my Valkyrie, bright as hell and extremely well made. Can also message or call them too, LED's are all that they do. Agree with Brockie for possibly only doing the low beam, but the light dispersion and color would for sure be off.

So you've personally installed these eBay H7s into the low beam of a 2017+ Wee?
