Installed the Givi skid plate

Installed the givi skid plate lastnight. Straight forward install not too bad. It is a light weight plate not for heavy off road riding. But I'm happy with it so far. Bought it from a forum member.

The bottom 4 screws need to come out. With that said, the four rubber washers that fit between the bottom brackets and the top side of the skid plate are a big PITA when putting back together. Also, be careful because some of the washers stick to the plate (A good thing) and others fall out and roll around the floor. I also usually take the top front screws off as well and clean everything up. (Basically, I remove the plate)
I'm pretty happy with my plate as it is pitted pretty good from rocks-so it's doing its job.

Is it strong enough to support the bike... i.e. on an ATV-type jack? I'm guessing no, but that is probably not an intended use.

It comes of pretty easy, but like GreyMotion said, the little rubber grommets between the side plate and bracket are a pain to get lined up right. I fixed this last time by just super gluing them in place and let it dry while I changed the oil.

Yeah, I would not trust it for that at all. The aluminum might hold up, but the brackets would surely bend out of shape.
