Project bike - Brake Magazine YouTube

Have you guys seen this YouTube channel? Very informative and well made!

The just started a DL650 project bike. They were also honest about this bike, which I appreciated. Glad to see what they are trying to accomplish: making a great all around bike on a budget.

Love my vstrom, and glad to see videos like this being made!

The problem with moving the pegs alone is the resulting awkward reach to the controls. It was one of the reasons for the the creation of this kit which moves the pegs AND the controls.

Footpeg and Control Lowering Kit - AdventureTech, LLC.

It's one of he essential upgrades for most riders, along with mirror extenders and a fork brace for DL650s. If you look around the site you might find several things you just can't live without.

Takes half the 8 minutes to get to the changes. These guys really like to hear themselves speak don't they?

Just received your fork brace yesterday! Just wondering if mirror relocation is ideal for people of a certain height? I find them quite well placed for me at 5 foot ten.

The mirror extenders have worked for all heights. Even very, very tall riders. I'm 5'10"myself and they work great for me.
