Thumbs up Lets get some aftermarket seat action going!

Many of the aftermarket seat makers gauge production demand by how many folks ask them about new seats.

Please take a moment to follow these links to request new seat ETA info for the 2017+ or Third Generation DL650 VStrom. As of this date, there are no offerings from Sargent, Corbin, Seat Concepts...

Sargent Cycle: Sargent Cycle Products - Contact Information Email: [email protected]

Corbin USA has a link here you can follow to submit a request: Corbin Motorcycle Seats & Accessories | Service Center | 800-538-7035 Click on Product Questions

Seat Concepts has a form here that you can use to submit your request: https://seat-concepts.myshopify.com/pages/contact-us

Saddlemen adventure motorcycle seats: https://www.saddlemen.com/dl-650-v-strom email them at: [email protected]

I have emailed or messaged each vendor and all have said they are considering it, or have plans in the future. Lets get them going.

Thanks-
Rob

I've contacted Mustang ("no plans"), Sargent ("we're investigating, but can do a custom re-upholstery now"), Russell Day Long ("Sure, we can do your seat"). Not interested in Corbin. I've always gone with Sargent, but don't want to send in my seat (one of the nice things about Sargent is THEIR base, with the built in storage).

So, while the '17 seat is a huge improvement, it's still not there yet...

Probably not very likely , but does a 14 up DL1000 seat fit? The new 650 is a lot more similar to the V2 now.

It doesn't... I checked w/ the aftermarket seat mfg... It also has a different SKU when compared to the 650 seat from Suzuki...
I'm sure the seats will come along, with the Wee being as popular as it still is... however, it always takes critical mass for the aftermarket to move on it...

Oh ok as long as someone has physically tried it. The sku would have to be different even if the seat cover was different

Is Adcox a possibility?

Has anyone contacted Terry Adcox? I assume he can provide a custom seat (but you would have to send in the stock seat).
middleage crazy likes this.

Seat Concepts did a group buy for the Gen 2 650 from interest on the forum.

Perhaps they or another seat company will do the same for the Gen 3.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Cor 13:13

Never implied that. I assume the seat discussion is wider
