What does your temp. display typically show?

Engine temp. I meant. Mine has always run at three bars (once warmed up and on the road).

Always 3 bars

No matter how many hours, and regardless of the temperature, I've always got 3 bars after about 3-4 minutes.

It may sometimes show two bars in cold weather or cool and rainy weather if it's like the Wee. Otherwise, it should always stop at three. With the oil/coolant heat exchanger, the Glee's temperature control is excellent.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Greywolf, as the Strom expert you might be able to answer this:

What temperatur range does the 3rd bar cover - my guess would be from approximately 176 to 215..?

The service manual may say exactly what temp the coolant is at with 3 bars. You could try a non contact thermometer too, they are getting cheaper all the time.

My SV has a direct degree F temperature display, no bars. It usually runs around 185 degrees F.

Here. You figure it out. I went cross-eyed.

If I'm reading it right, the 3rd bar indicates a temp. range of 158F - 228F. I'm not sure about the Ohms indication connection. (increased temp, decreased resistance??)
