Anybody seen a used 2012 for sale?

Long time lurker i have owned a couple of different stroms in the past and purchased a 2012 back in Feb. Now it is Aug and I only have 1500 miles on the bike so it is not getting used as it should. Looking to get out of riding for a while and concentrate on some other hobbies.

Condition wise the bike is as new. No scratches, dings bruises or other defects. Only farkle added is a 42 liter top case that I use for hauling my laptop back and forth to work.

Has anybody seen a used bike for sale or can I get some guidance on how people think I should be pricing the bike for sale?

I got mine used w/only 36 miles back in June for $6995. That was a screamin' deal. Another guy got a slightly used one as well. A nationwide craigslist search revealed a few.

You don't say where you are located. That makes a big difference. The bikes are still fairly hard to find in many places. You may want to check the stock/pricing at nearby dealers.

I'd say that $7500 is a good price to ask, $8000 if you are relying on the fact that they are hard to get (I'd never pay that used).

I bought my 2012 model with 1700 miles on it back in May. It also had the undercowl, a laminar lip on the windshield, a Givi V46 topcase and mounting rack. I paid $ 7500 and the supply of 2012 Wees in the Seattle area was not good. Most of the new Wees available were the Adventure model, and I did not want that. Given that the dealers up here are typically charging MSRP and not budging much off that, I am happy with my deal.

Not sure if Suzuki is still offering 0% APR as well. That has a significant effect on used bike pricing. They are still around $7500 here in the SE then take off a few dollars for used, $6995'ish IF there is no 0%. If there is, that is probably another $500 to $900, depending on financing term. If you find a cash buyer, I would think most V-Strom owners are cash potential, the 0% makes no difference thus $6995 should be good.
If you are in a more "demanding" area, $7500 ought to be fair.
I do not know of any other vehicle that could be purchased new and sold within a few months and still bring close to new pricing. Thank goodness you bought a Strom instead of a car or "other" brand bike. $20K car/bike a few months old = $15K used value!

04 DL1000, PCIII, Cee Bailey Shield, Center Stand, Bestem Top Box SOLD.
2012 DL650, Cortech Tank Bag and Tail Bag, Richland fork Brace, 16T front sproket, GPS mount, go-cruise, cramp buster.

I couldn't find a used DL650 of any vintage that didn't have over 40,000 mi. There was one '07 on Craigslist near me that had around 13,000 mi. on it, it didn't last a week before it was sold. One of the reinforcements (for me) that it was a great bike was the fact that people generally don't get rid of them.
