I want to trade my Glass Sparkle Black tank, rear side, and cowling pieces for your Metallic Fox Orange ones! Simple screw on/off process and voila. Reply or PM me and we can discuss further details.

Getting the nose piece off is not very simple. It will get you familiar with how the plastics fit together.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Ah, well...
i suppose the aggravation of getting off the front piece will be balanced out by the relative ease of the other three. Thanks for the heads-up. :beatnik:

A black nose has its rear connection the same color as the front frame so it's hard to see how it is screwed to the frame. It's easier to see other colors. The bottom line is the fairing has to come off and care must be taken to avoid breaking things even at that point.

Do the swap in person and you can help each other learn how it's done. It will also help to see the orange where the front piece connects to the fairing frame. The owner's manual has some info on how the plastics come off. The fiche drawings at Fast shipping. Up to 40% off Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Polaris OEM motorcycle parts and accessories. Deep reseller discounts. may help too.

Yep, it's looking like we'll be able to do the swap in person as you suggest, Mr.Wolf--thanks once more for your most-excellent assistance.
