Lost my Dash

Driving down the freeway tonight minding my own business when somebody turned out the lights on my dash display. It's more than the back light because the speedometer doesn't move at all. Luckily my headlight stayed illuminated because I was heading around a rather fast and dark offramp. Came to a stop for an inspection and found that I also lost my blinkers. Bright's still work as well as the blue indicator on the dash.

The only thing I've changed recently was the brightness of the dash's backlight.

I wont be able to take a look see until the sun comes up tomorrow...could this be more than a blown fuse?

Not likely a blown fuse on a new bike unless you have been in there doing something to the electrical system. More like a connector unplugged. Very strange.

I agree it sounds like a connector has come loose...question...when you say your turn signals don't work..are you talking about the lights themselves don't work, or just the LED displays on the instrument panel don't work? If your actual turn signals..that's also odd...

Also, it is very strange that the only light that works is the blue highbeams light...if it's a connector issue, it is odd that signal would be in a separate connector...but not impossible of course.

P.S. I expect Greywolf will be here shortly with a succinct explanation and instructions on how to diagnose it...in 3...2...

I'd start with the fuses. I don't have a service manual so I don't have a schematic. Look at the connectors behind the dash would be next. Maybe one came loose...

Correction: I meant to say the analog tachometer rather than the speedometer.

The blinkers are puzzling. Neither the dash indicator or the actual blinkers are flashing. Found out this morning that the emergency blinkers are not functioning as well.

It's under warranty, Think about using it. Do check the fuses. The O/G wiring for the signals fuse feeds the turn signals and the instrument cluster. See if you have brake lights.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.

Turns out it was in fact a blown 15A fuse...good news. Better yet, Suzuki had the foresight to supply a few spares in the fuse box! It's the little things...

Replaced the little bastard and everything came back online.

Now you need to find out why the fuse blew.

Did you ever figure out what caused this? I'm having that same issue on my glee. No added farkles just a blowing fuse, and do far no chafed wires.
